Terms of Service
The service
InsightCut takes the captions of a YouTube video you choose and produces a summary and key segments from them. Videos play through the official YouTube player; we neither store nor redistribute the videos themselves.
Accounts
- You can view content that is already public without an account. Processing a new video requires one.
- An account is for your own use, and you are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure.
- You may delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Points
- What they are — points are a service credit used to process videos. They are not cash, cannot be transferred to anyone else, and cannot be converted back to money.
- How they are spent — processing a video costs one point per minute of video. Requesting the same video again does not charge you twice.
- If processing fails — the points deducted are returned automatically.
- Free points — a one-time grant at sign-up plus a daily allowance. Points received for free are not refundable.
- Validity — purchased points (one-time packs) stay valid for five years from purchase. Points granted monthly by a subscription work differently — see "Subscriptions" below.
Subscriptions
- Monthly grant — each tier grants a set number of points every month, and each tier has its own limit on the length of a video you can process.
- No carry-over — subscription points you do not use that month expire when the next grant arrives. A renewal refills the month's allowance rather than adding to it. (Separately purchased points are not affected by this expiry.)
- Cancelling — you may cancel at any time and keep access until the period you already paid for ends. After that, remaining subscription points expire and you return to free use.
- Changes to plans — plan structure and prices may change. Changes unfavourable to users are announced 7 days before they take effect, and the terms of a period you have already paid for do not change.
Payment and refunds
- Seller — point purchases are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Receipts and tax documents are issued in their name, and your payment details never pass through our servers.
- Withdrawal — if you have not used any of the points you purchased, email us within 7 days of payment for a full refund.
- Partly used — we refund the amount corresponding to the points left. Points already spent on completed processing are not refundable, because the goods were delivered.
- If the service closes — unused points are refunded.

What you must not do
- Send bulk requests with automated tools or otherwise place an excessive load on the service
- Use someone else's account, or obtain points by improper means
- Use what the service produces to infringe the rights of a video's copyright holder
- Use the service to break the law or infringe anyone's rights
We may restrict use without prior notice when a violation is confirmed.
Changes and interruptions
Features may change as we improve them. Service may pause for maintenance, incidents, or circumstances at upstream providers (YouTube, AI providers). Material changes are announced on this page or in the product.
About the output
Summaries, key segments, and translations are generated by AI and may be wrong. Check the original video before relying on them for anything that matters. We do not warrant the accuracy of generated results.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". Except in cases of intent or gross negligence, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from use of the service. This clause does not limit any right guaranteed to you by applicable law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are heard by the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
